About Katie

Now that my son is in elementary school, I am looking to provide care on a part time/ as needed basis. I have been a stay at home mother for the last 7 years, before that I was a social worker, working with individuals with developmental disabilities and youth in the foster care system. I was also a NYC nanny for 4 years while completing my degree. I love working with children of all ages and abilities, my specialization is children with complex needs and infants and toddlers. I love the outdoors and sensory/ messy play. As a local mom, I am familiar with all the local trails and playgrounds, as well as all the mommy and me classes, local library etc. We are an outdoor family and love playing in the yard, the local creeks and stomping around the areas trails. I'm a strong proponent of creative and sensory play. Experience with specialized diets/allergies, toileting needs, autism, ADHD, ODD. Available for wedding/event coverage and for race season.
