About Katie

I have five years of teaching experience, and have taught children ages 5-17 yrs old as well as adults. I've taught ESL, American culture, digital media and figure skating. I've taught in New York City, Washington, D. C. metro area, England and France. My teaching experience includes being a Student Supervisor to pre-university Chinese students in the UK for the 2012 London Olympics, a Language Counselor with NACEL American Village in France and a Figure Skating Instructor with Figure Skating in Harlem and the U. S. National Parks Department. I earned my master's degree in Screen Media & Cultures in the UK, and have an honors bachelor's degree in Visual Anthropology & Digital Media Literacy from the University of Southern California. I also have an associate's degree in Advertising & Marketing Communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. I love connecting with people, teaching and inspiring them, especially children, teenagers and young adults.
