About Katie

Hello, I'm Katie, an educator, mom, and caregiver originally from Massachusetts. Now in Portland, I bring over a decade of childcare expertise, including eight years as a pre-k- elementary school classroom teacher. Currently, I care for a sweet 10 mo old. I have taken courses in child development, children's literature, and more, with continuous learning through workshops on and certifications in topics like positive discipline and child psychology. I advocate for respectful and child-led approaches, nurturing creativity and play-based learning in a supportive environment. While child-focused, I support the whole family, anticipating household needs and proactively addressing challenges.
