About Katie

Hello! I am excited to get to know you and/or your loved one! I come from a large family with quite a bit of nursing background, which is serving us well as we share our time to care for our father/papa in his and my grandma's home. We are blessed to share this responsibility, and I hope to be able to do that for another family. I have worked as a 911 dispatcher for almost 20 years. This experience fueled my wanting to help others even more, thus driving me to become a registered nurse. I have 3 years of experience working on a rehabilitation unit at a local nursing home. My duties included administering medications, assisting with daily living activities, and monitoring vital signs, but more importantly I provided emotional support and kindness to the residents. I take great pride in my ability to be remain compassionate, calm and understanding during stressful times. I believe that creating a positive environment is important to maintain the well-being of patients and their family.
