About Kathy

FYI My nickname is Kalene -combining Kathy and Eilene. And I hope you look beyond my age. I included a photo showing me practicing my golf swing to give you an idea of my active life. I also work out two or three times a week, bicycle several miles weekly and, time permitting, frequently walk through downtown Sacramento and along river trails. My bachelor's degrees, one in Journalism, where I was editor of the college newspaper and an additional degree in Secondary Education. along with several years childcare and nanny positions, give me the education and experience to help your child succeed. I can assist with all aspects of learning as I continue my personal learning journey to absorb new strategies, learning from and with children while uncovering solutions related to English usage including writing, and math problems incorporating a reading and team approach. Because I am a mature care giver/tutor and enjoy children, it is easy for children to communicate with me. Looking forward!
