I went on a missions trip to Jamaica, while I was there I volunteered at a special needs orphanage, and I immediately fell in love with the kids there. I have taken care of children one on one who had cerebral palsy, down syndrome, autism, etc. I have also volunteered at Bristow Run in the preschool special education. I have so much patience for children with any disability and I enjoy being there to help them accomplish tasks. I was also employed at Minnieland Academy and my position was the Lead Toddler teacher. I was responsible for weekly personalized lessons plans for each child, all of the sanitizing procedures for my room, all paper work each child in my classroom needed, communication with all parents, and the children's health and safety while under my care. I cook meals and feed the children if needed, assist with any medications, bathe and assist with hygiene needs, help with homework, etc.
