I am retiring from the classroom after 20 years, but I still very much want to work with children with/without disabilities. I have been a special needs teacher/preschool-3rd grade during my career. I have three grown boys, one of which conquered Cancer when he was 11. My experience is extensive and varied. I have had the opportunity to provide in-home childcare for families that had children in treatment , as well as taking little ones to the beach or playground. I have had the amazing opportunity to teach first graders to read, make new friends, and learn to work in a group. My personality is nurturing, flexible and I wholeheartedly believe laughter is the best medicine. This is critical after the trauma many school-age children have endured over the past few years. I want to be matched with a family that prioritizes a balanced approach in the development of our "little ones."
