About Kathryn

I grew up in a large family, and as one of the oldest children frequently ended up caring for my younger siblings and other young kids in the neighborhood. In college I worked as a part-time nanny for a young boy from the time he was 10 until he was 15, 5x/week for 4-5 hours a day. I then graduated college and have worked as a physical therapist for 5 years. I spent part of this time working in a pediatric clinic with children with disabilities, working with children as young as a few weeks old. Despite working as a professional physical therapist over the past few years, I look back on my nanny experience as the most rewarding job I have ever had, and am looking now to switch careers. I love spending time with children and feel I would have a lot to offer a family in caring for their child/children. I still keep in touch with many of the children I have cared for over the years, and feel that building relationships is extremely important. Because of my experiences working as a nanny and a PT, I have a well-rounded perspective on what it takes to help to raise healthy children and you can count on me to be a caring, responsible, and creative caregiver for your children.
