About Kathryn

My name is Katy and I am a special education teacher with experience working with students aged 5-15. I have been working in public education since 2016, prior to that I worked as a child care provider. I obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences from San Francisco State University and currently hold a cleared Mild/Moderate Special Education teaching credential. I am currently on summer break and have flexible availability. I specialize in teaching reading and math. I co-taught 6-8th ELA and Math for 3 years and have 4 years experience teaching reading intervention to students with dyslexia from a multi-sensory approach. Most recently I worked with 2nd-6th graders on grade level content in math as well as ELA. I have 10+ years experience as a child care provider prior to working in education. Specializing in children aged 2-14 years, most of my work being with siblings.
