Hi! My name is Katie; I teach 5th grade, however I have experience with all ages (I was a preschool teacher and a nanny prior to teaching elementary). I love being active outside, playing board games, watching movies, trying new restaurants, and reading. I am currently looking for one-time or reoccurring babysitting opportunities, as well as tutoring. I am vaxxed, and am CPR, First Aid, and AED certified. I have my own car and am comfortable with driving! I might not be the best cook, but I am willing to try! We have now used Katie multiple times as a sitter for our ~1 year old kiddo and we could not be more pleased and appreciative of having her available! Katie was the first sitter we had ever hired from a 3rd party website (e.g. care.com) so naturally we weren't sure what to expect going into things. But, Katie made the experience painless and was open to chatting over the phone ahead of watching our kiddo for the first time and also showed up early to get familiar with our space and meet the little one. Most importantly, Katie is great and so comfortable with our kiddo! From the moment she first showed up at our place she was already on the floor and interacting with our kiddo, no hesitation. She's definitely great at building rapport quickly and that makes it all the easier for us to head out without any issues. Each time Katie has come over it's been seamless, and as long as she's available we'll certainly continue to give her a call when we need a sitter!
