I have worked as a Scout in the film and television industry in New York since 2010. Prior to scouting locations, from 2008 to 2009, I was a nanny for my niece in Chicago, when she was age 7 months - 1 year. At that time, my sister and brother-in-law both worked full-time as corporate attorneys. This was a very special time for me, because I was able to experience caring for an infant and to form a close bond with my niece. Just after graduating from the University of Michigan, I was a live-in nanny for a family with five children in Toledo, Ohio in 2006. I also was a Substitute Teacher (grades K-12) in Washtenaw County, Michigan and then an Instructor and Camp Counselor at ID Tech Camp, a summer tech camp for kids at the University of California, San Diego. I am also a CELTA-certified English language teacher. Additionally, I am musician, vocalist, and part of a salsa and bachata dance studio in Glendale.

Kate was wonderful as our full-time nanny! She was super reliable, warm, attentive, and playful with our daughter. She kept her entertained with books, music and outings. She has also taken care of her while we were out of town for a wedding. In addition to child care, she helped us with projects around the house (closet organization, etc).
