About Kathryn

Hi! My name is Katie, and I am a sophomore at Judson University in Elgin, IL, but am home for the summer. I major in Worship Arts and minor in Youth Ministry. I have always been passionate about kids and love to pour into their lives! All of my four years in high school, I worked at LeRoy Elementary School with the Panther Care program. Here, I planned and coordinated fun activities and games for the kids, facilitated a safe environment for them to be themselves and to have fun, helped with homework and mentored them. Along with this experience in childcare, I also am an active volunteer with the youth programs at my church! I am a seasoned VBS leader and I am actually leading my own small group of JH/HS girls this summer. I love to lead by example and to be a safe place for the kids that I work with. I cherish each kiddo that I meet and the traits that make them unique! I am patient, energetic, positive, and love to have fun, but I also am able to keep things safe above all.
