About Kathryn

I grew up in rural Illinois, and as a little one I was drawn to care for others- singing infants to sleep when I was four and organizing games for younger cousins at family picnics when I was 7. I moved to Bend in 2002, met the love of my life and discovered the joy of camping and mountain biking in the National Forest. Today I am a gardener, yoga instructor, and home-maker who cares for two cats, a dog, and chickens as well as my husband. I have a lot of love to give, and would like to spend some of it on making life fun for the next generation, and giving parents a helping hand. I love to sing songs, play outside, and encourage creativity. I believe in finding joy in each task and making the mundane fun. I love infants and toddlers, and find joy in watching them discover the world around them. Encouraging children to solve problems, use their imagination, preserve or deepen their connection to their emotions and body, and to just have fun fills my heart with joy!
