About Kathryn

I have worked with children in a variety of formal and informal settings for the past 20 years, serving as a lead Montessori early childhood teacher (10 years), public school substitute teacher, summer camp counselor, nature center educator, and babysitter/nanny. I am passionate about helping children of all ages reach their full potential as they grow in body, mind, and heart. I am a nurturing, attentive, and patient caregiver as I support the holistic development of each child. I especially enjoy helping children connect with nature! I am also passionate about senior care. I provided full-time dementia care for my mother for 1. 5 years until she moved into memory care facility. It brought me great joy to help her engage in hobbies of interest each day and support her dignity and independence in daily life. I hold a B. A. in environmental studies, and a Montessori Early Childhood teaching credential. I am first aid and CPR certified. I also have intermediate Spanish language skills.
