About Kathryn

I have been a nanny for several years. I have also run a private school that is for home schoolers We had 96 students and six teachers that I worked with. I also ran the arts council for children. I designed over 40 classes with different subjects for children. I have home schooled all four of my children and enjoy exploring with kids. I do believe full heartedly that if you help a child learn to love learning, they will enjoy activities that help them use their creativity. I have worked with children with Aspberger's and ADD. I also have had training in helping children with dyslexia. I have four children 16, 14, 12, and 9. I have home schooled all of them since kindergarten. I love taking them to learn hands on. My family and I have been traveling the USA for 2 years learning while we travel. We are now ready to settle down in the Washington area. My husband is going to continue homeschooling them while he runs our business at home. I have many references and have worked with many children. Each year my family held summer camps out of our home. The last two years we did these camps we had over 500 children come through our home. We did camps on everything from life on the farm with real animals to grosologys (this is the study of gross things. Children learn all about their digestive system and other systems of their body.) I love children and enjoy experience learning with them.
