About Kathryn

Hi! My name is Katie, and I'm a 22-year-old. I've recently moved from Boston to Southern California to pursue graduate studies in social work! I have cared for children of all ages-from newborns to 12-year-olds-since I was 15. My experience also includes 3 years as a camp counselor. Most recently, I've nannied for a 4-month-old baby and a family of four children, ranging in age from 2 to 11. I am a regular volunteer with The Great Blizz, a nonprofit organization where I teach ice skating to children and teenagers with developmental and physical disabilities. I'm also passionate about supporting elders with memory loss diseases, having worked as an activities assistant in a nursing home. I'm deeply committed to the work I do and look forward to sharing my passion and positivity with others! I'd describe my personality as peaceful, positive, and kind. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga, painting, and working out.
