About Kathryn

I worked for 23 years for local government ending in manager position for city crisis social services. I cared for my mother full time for five years. My mother was a registered nurse so I was involved in more extensive care with training by my mother and grandmother, who owned a nursing home. I have a degree in therapuetic recreation from ASU. I am large framed and able to lift and move and assist perhaps to a greater degree than average. My mom passed in Oct 2019. From March-May I helped a good friend when her father was I hospice care in her home. Care included feeding, bathing, medication administration, wound care and personal care with immobile person and toileting issues. I wasnt sure how I would feel about this coming so close to doing same for my mother whom I dearly loved. What I found was that my life was enriched in inexplicable ways through many stories and talks we had prior to him losing ability to speak. I did whatever my friend needed....
