About Kathleen

I first began caring for children around the age of 13, doing the occasional neighborhood babysitting. I generally babysat for families consistently up until the point where childcare was no longer needed! Additionally, my high school (Tualatin High School) gave students the opportunity to enroll in a class called Child Services (which I took advantage of, of course). This class allowed approximately 20 students to gain childcare experience through working with the children in Teens & Tots Preschool and also, every other day, teaching child physical and mental development. After completing this wonderful class, I was selectively chosen to participate in Child Services 2 the next year based on my ability to work with children in the first year in the preschool. The second year allowed us to essentially run the preschool without any teacher supervision. We had to come up with lesson plans, prepare meals, and all the other misc. activities that come along with childcare.
