My student teaching in the Fall of 2015 took place at Rosa Parks elementary in Middletown, Ohio (greater Cincinnati area), it was along side a third and fourth grade intervention specialist. I taught a total of 21 students, 16 which were on my specific caseload. I focused mainly on math and reading intervention, as well as implementing behavioral plans and support throughout the day. During my student teaching experience I had the opportunity to teach a variety of students with different disabilities that included: Autism, Cognitive Delays, Specific Learning Disabilities, Behavior Disabilities, and OHI-minor. During my time at Rosa Parks I developed close relationships with students and parents, assisted in creating and implementing multiple behavior plans, writing IEPS, and creating authentic learning activities to challenge and motivate and promote academic growth for my students.
