I have left my assistant teacher position in a private daycare to work for families. I'm kind, nurturing, compassionate, and the children absolutely love me. I've cared for large numbers of infants, toddlers and pre-K kids daily. I love to encourage, praise and help build their skills, as well as their self confidence & self esteem. I have taken half a dozen professional childcare courses & recently renewed my CPR/First Aid/ AED certifications. I've had a background check/fingerprinted for the daycare setting. I have a clean license & I am a non-smoker. Before childcare, I had been employed by a physics society for 37 years with the last 28 years working in their IT dept. I'm intelligent, reliable, fun, active, love walks, playing indoors and out, building, arts & crafts and reading books. I like to encourage learning in a safe environment. In addition, I have experience raising 2 children of my own who are successful adults. My most loved experiences are caring for & loving children.

My two children (boy - 3 and girl- 1 ) have warmed up to Kathleen very easily. She has a bubbly personality that attracts kids. She observes how the parents' routine with the kids and is great at keeping that routine. She is thoughtful and has brought crafts and projects for them to do, she plays with the kids and integrates learning into it. She can easily handle the two kids at one time. She is not scared to get down on the ground with the kids or go on the bounce house with them. Shes been with us three weeks and I totally trust her. When the kids have been sleeping or at school, she helped clean up, fold or do dishes. She is worth every penny.
