I have recently worked on a daily basis with Dementia clients in the Rutherford and Lyndhurst areas of NJ. Worked as a professional Nurse Manager in a small assisted living facility in Austin, Texas. My wonderful patients were elderly and suffered with various health Conditions. Many clients had some form of Dementia which prompted me to obtain Certification as a Dementia Care Specialist. I have experience with clients transitioning to Hospice. I believe each senior is unique and their care is individualized according to need. I am comfortable with the various stages of Dementia. I also incorporate one on one time with patients developing activities that stimulate client engagement. I believe in open communication with family members. I also like to establish a plan of care with the patient and family. I recently obtained certification as a Dementia Care Specialist. I am CPR/AED certified and fully vaccinated for COVID.. I have recently moved to Ringwood NJ.

Kathleen’s professionalism, depth of expertise, funny wit and thorough, comprehensive care has been a God-send since coming to help care for our mother. Our mother is nearly 96 years old with advancing dementia and her children rotate to provide around the clock care to keep her in her home. Kathleen’s attention to detail in evaluating her physical and mental condition is exemplary in her record keeping and communication. She offers to help in anyway needed at every visit. Her warmth and concern always leads her to go the extra mile to make our mother feel the best that she can. Most importantly, Kathleen explains to us her condition and advises on what we can do better, or should change to provide the best care possible. As our mother’s condition advances, she helps us understand the changes and how to manage it best. We can’t thank Kathleen enough for how comfortable she makes our mother feel and how kind, trusting and dedicated she has been to our entire family. Phyllis
