About Kathleen

I am a NYS Certified Teacher with 15+ years experience in General and Special Education and hold a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Grades K-6. I can help your child gain confidence in their academics by developing their organizational, time management, and study skills. I believe in making learning fun and relating school work to real life. I am currently teaching in Suffolk County Public Schools in Half Hollow Hills, Dix Hills and East Northport-Northport K-5. I am looking for part-time work in close proximity to my home Dix Hills, Deer Park, East Northport-Northport, Elwood, Huntington, Commack. I am familiar with NYS Common Core Learning Standards. I am available to tutor During the School Year Mon-Fri from 4:30 p.m. -8:00 p.m. and During the Summer Months Mon-Sat 11 a.m. -5 p.m. to prepare your child for school in September 2025. I can provide certifications and fingerprinting background check. I also Teach Beginner Piano Lessons.
