About Kathleen

I retired early to care for my parents. I have a BA in Liberal Arts and an MBA. I started my career as a public-school teacher in Dutchess County New York. I worked, as a financial planner, trainer and Long-Term Care Specialist for 22 years and retired early to help my parents to age in the privacy of their own home. Dad had Parkinson's Disease. Mom and I walked by his side and adapted to all the changing needs he would experience. He passed in 2021. Mom and I had 5 wonderful years together. She had a stroke in 2023 I moved into her home so that she could be as comfortable as possible, and to keep her out of a nursing home. I handled all of their affairs. From grocery shopping to dealing with countless doctors, specialists, changes in medication, family members and arranging outings to keep them involved in her life. We always tried to keep a sense of humor. I will treat your loved one with dignity and respect and care for them as if they are my family.
