About Kathleen

Helping others enrich and improve their lives is the foundation of my vocation in education. As a science teacher for the past 15 years, I have strong, refined best practices and skills. However, above all, supporting learners and facilitating change remains. My background in science (B. S. in Marine Biology) as well as my career as a science teacher, prepare me to support your child with all of their academic needs. Balancing students' educational as well as social-emotional needs has been paramount. I am trained in Origins Developmental Designs, a social emotion support program, and have years of experience supporting students academic and social emotional needs in both the classroom as well as tutoring atmosphere. I can work with your child in the areas of growth mindset and test prep as well as science content.
