About Katheryne

Hello! My name is Kat, I am 25 years old, and this is my 10th year working with children. I started working in a home daycare at age 15, where I discovered my passion for teaching. I have worked at three daycare centers, each focusing on a different age range. I am highly skilled with infants and young children between the ages of 1 and 12. I have successfully worked 1 on 1 with students who have behavioral disorders, neurotypical students, and students on the autism spectrum. Currently, I serve as the Resource Room Paraeducator at Green Gables Elementary in Federal Way, where I have worked for the last 3 years. In this position, I teach small groups of students who qualify for additional academic and social/emotional support. I cover all areas of education including math, reading, writing, science, and SEL. I consider myself to be highly capable and empathetic, and hold the fundamental belief that every child deserves the best chance at a high-quality education.
