About Katherine

I'd describe my personality as enthusiastic, encouraging, and patient. I like tutoring because I love making a difference in a child's life. I specialize in teaching children how to read and I think it is one of the most rewarding feelings watching a child become confident in their reading and comprehension. One thing you should know about me is I worked at an elementary school as a reading and writing intervention specialist for children who have a hard time with reading and writing comprehension skills. My skills include teaching site words and sounds, helping the child comprehend what they just read, and positive reinforcement and being a strong support system.
