About Katherine

Hi, I'm Katherine! I'm an educator with nearly two decades of experience working with middle school, high school, and college students in various settings. I have two masters degrees in education as well as a PhD in anthropology from Brown. I'm passionate about helping young people achieve their goals and become skilled learners. I'd describe my personality as curious, down-to-earth, and hardworking. In my spare time, I like to read novels, do craft projects, and play with my two cats. One thing you should know about me is I'm committed to helping you succeed not just in a particular subject - I'll ensure you develop learning and critical thinking skills you can carry with you throughout your life. My skills include helping students identify goals and break those goals down into manageable steps; critical reading and writing; and being patient, cheerful, and encouraging!
