This past summer, I worked at a 7-week residential camp for children with special needs. At this camp, I supervised a group of 11 teenage girls with multiple diagnoses and helped them with daily living tasks, such as feeding, showering, dressing, and toileting, but most importantly, I developed a passion for working with special needs children! I currently work as a substitute teacher aide with special needs children ages 5-21. I also work with special needs children as a part of my training for my music therapy degree. Special needs children have a special place in my heart and I would love more experience working with them!
