Hello! I have always helped with elderly individuals, as well as any age really that's in need of companion/care. Whether it be distributing the individuals medication(s), preparing meals, making sure all household chores and needs get done. Sometimes it would be something as simple as just playing a round of rummy (card game) with them, or maybe even their favorite boardgames while having a movie on in the back or something. I personally cared for grandmother, as well as some other elderly couples. I have taken care of younger individuals. Just to list a few I would help with getting them ready for the day, make their meals, feed them (by mouth or feedingtube), make sure the proper meds were taken when needed, as well a household needs (laundry, gardening, etc). I would also assist with physical therapy exercises they were to do while being at home. I've volunteered at care centers as well. Even if it was jut reading them a book, or listening about their day. I enjoy it! They do too.
