Hi my names Katie! I started working at EFA at 13 and continued there most of my young adult life. Throughout this time I baby sat, created lesson plans, taught at church, and nanny'd part time. At 27 I moved to Tampa, working remote and as a nanny for an incredible family. When my boyfriend and I had to relocate it broke my heart and I knew I had to find a different career for the time being. To back up "a bit," when I was 4-8 my mom hired a nanny. 24 years later, that nanny is a 2nd mother to me, my mother her granddaughters God mother, if I don't call her at least once a week there will be trouble, and all the other obligations and love that comes with family. So see, to me nannying isn't a job it's a building of a familial relationship. Now that we are back in NJ for good and hoping to start our own family in the near future, I am in need of finding a source of income that makes sense long term.
