About Katherine

I am a 43-year-old mother and part-time photographer looking to spend some hours each week assisting a senior in need of care and/or providing companionship. I am highly educated with two BA degrees and a Masters in school counseling. My children are in school and I would like to use my free time to enrich the lives of those that may need some additional assistance/ care. I am kind, easy-going, reliable and responsible. The aging community has always held such a special place in my heart and I feel like this type of work would be very rewarding. I watched my own grandparents suffer as their physical and mental capabilities diminished and I know firsthand how much a little extra love and attention can mean to them during the hard times. I am happy to lend an ear, play games, read, and be loving company. I am also willing to provide transportation when needed, assist with basic medication, and help with tasks like cleaning, cooking and shopping.
