Hello All! My name is Kate. I am an Occupational therapist and have experience working with geriatrics as well as children. Some of the children I worked with were diagnosed with: Autism, ADHD, Bipolar, Down syndrome, Rare Genetic Disorders and Emotionally disturbed children. At times, my job was very challenging, but was also very rewarding. I have worked one on one with the same children for 2. 5 years. After working one on one, I learned how important it is to have a positive relationship with the children as well as their families. I have seen firsthand the difficulties as well as the emotions that are involved in raising children with special needs. It is a great feeling knowing that my help eases some of those difficult moments.
