About Katherine

My name is Katie and I am a Junior at Kent State University where I am majoring in Fashion Merchandising and minoring in Marketing. I am from Dayton, Ohio where I have worked in childcare for the past 4 years. I come from a large family and naturally thrive around children. I have nannied my niece for the first 3 years of her life. Throughout my experience working with children, I learned problem solving, time management, creative thinking, organization, and empathy. I went to Centerville High School where I played lacrosse and was an active member of Key Club and Environmental Club. I got the opportunity to assistant teach kindergarten when I was apart of the Early Childhood Education Program. This was an amazing experience and I really enjoyed being able to help the children learn and grow. I graduated high school in 2022, earning a diploma with honors, the President's Education Award for Achievement, Academic Distinction, and I was a member of National Honors Society.
