About Katherine

Hi there! I'm Katherine (27), south Austin-born and bred, and just graduating from UT Austin with degrees in Psychology and Humanities. Next I am studying counseling psychology in graduate school, with a focus on somatics. I am an embodiment nerd: I've had a professional massage practice for 8 years, and am a dance teacher and dance artist. I spend a lot of my time building community, practicing mindfulness, and learning ways of healthy relating with others. I also enjoy cooking, reading fantasy, playing outside, and swimming - all ways I'd love to spend time with your kids. With children, I believe in play, connection, facilitating healthy attachment, setting boundaries, and creating an attuned environment with positive reinforcement. I am committed to staying off screens and being really present when I'm with your kids. Would love to play, make art, read, and (if age appropriate) go on engaging and educational adventures with your children.
