About Katherine

Hi, my name is Katie. I have over 4 years of experience in caring for children, both babysitting in a home setting as well as a daycare facility. My most recent experience was being a full- time nanny for the past year. Before I worked in a non-profit children's center working with individuals with developmental disabilities. The center accommodates those from 5 years to 20 years of age, so my involvement included a full range of responsibilities. Due to the nature of the job, I have formal training in working with children with Autism, brain trauma information, disaster preparation, BPS certification, and CPR certification with First Aid training. From starting the day with getting bathed and dressed, to making and serving meals, to taking children on field trips/outings to bedtime routines, I have done it all! While my employment experience is primarily with school age children, I also have two nephews, ages 1 and 4. I really enjoy spending time with them and am comfortable with caring for babies and preschoolers as well. My life these days is committed to school, work and homework, so in the limited amount of free time I have, I really prefer to lay low and relax.
