About Katherine

Hi! I'm Adrian :) I started babysitting at 13, and continued on into my 20s. I then worked for the Boys and Girls Club while studying full time at college. My role at the BGC was Academic Success Coach, and I also created and taught my own curriculum for dance and gardening programming. I went on to work as an au pair with a family for 6 months in Spain, where I taught English. Most recently I began working in a Spanish speaking Waldorf School as an assistant teacher, where I also taught English classes. I deeply believe in honoring and respecting children as their own capable, self-determining beings. I strive to instill in the children I work with healthy emotional regulation skills, positive self-regard and confidence, and compassion for themselves and the world around them. In my spare time, I like to play and listen to music, practice yoga, qi gong or Pilates, go climbing or swimming, travel, spend time with friends, and play and love on my sweet dachshund mix :)
