I have a BS from Tulane where I studied cognitive science, linguistics, and philosophy, and I'm studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at William & Mary (online). The scope of my work includes companionship, strengthening connections with friends & family, assisting allied health professionals, reinforcing therapeutic goals in fluid daily scenarios, environmental organization, facilitating communication among individual/family/clinicians, mobility assistance, hygiene, education, advocacy, team leadership, and transportation. Personally, I have a beloved relative with a debilitating neuropsychological disorder, and I cared for my mom who had ALS and dementia. These experiences have shown me firsthand how illness and injury affect oneself and one's family in both apparent and nuanced ways. Your (or your loved one's) needs, safety, autonomy, and well-being are my top priority, and I look forward to building long-term, caring relationships in my work.

My mom suffered from slowly advancing dementia until her passing in April 2023. Katherine joined the care-giving team in November 2022. She is a warm, empathetic person who is dependable and extremely well qualified for senior care-giving by both education and temperament. We asked her to manage the 24-7 care team. She did an outstanding job of coordinating caregiver and visiting therapist schedules while also providing attentive care and companionship for my mom. She managed medications, recommended ways to improve mobility, and continuously adapted as her needs increased. Our care team included Renee N., Josephine P., and Alison C. All three of these experienced caregivers established great rapport with my mom. They provided affectionate care that was a comfort to her and to our family. The team kept us informed by recording notes after each shift.
