At 13 years old, while my Mom was living her final years in the hospital, I was incorrectly diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. A few years later, I was updated with the correct diagnosis of bipolar 2, adhd, ocd, and chronic depression. In the 15 years since, I have learned how to responsibly manage, control, and even make peace with my neurological handicaps. However, being diagnosed with so many scary things at such a relatively young age sent me down a rabbit hole of research and knowledge gathering that I have yet to crawl out of. Adolescent and young adult psychology, specifically in the field of learning everything I can about mental handicaps and how to thrive with them has become my passion, and ultimately my career path. I understand the young mind developing through roadblocks and trauma and I love helping those who aren't as knowledgeable (yet!).
