About Katherine

I have always felt like I was born and raised in the wrong generation, and as I've gotten older, it has become more and more clear why. My Dad was born in 1948, and my Mom in 1952. They adopted me when I was very young and they already had numerous health problems. I took care of specifically my Mom for my entire childhood; cooking and cleaning, managing her medications, scheduling her doctor's appointments while my Dad was at work, and eventually watched both of them pass away, along with my Grandparents, who I also was raised helping to take care of. I also helped my Aunt Rose with her day to day life responsibilities for much of my summer vacations, as she was fully dependent on her crutches or motorized scooter to get around, and had very little use of her hands, due to severe Arthritis. I guess the point that I am trying to convey is, while I do not have any professional senior care experience (yet), I was born with the compassion and ability for it to be an amazing fit for me!
