About Katherine
I am friendly, silly, and outgoing. I like working with kids because they make me laugh! I've taught all various grade levels 5-11 over the last 10 years, so I'm great with a bunch of kids at once, and I know how to connect with different age groups. If they're old enough, I hold the same expectations of all kids that I do of my own regarding helping to clean up after themselves and looking for opportunities to be kind/helpful to their family. I have quite a lot of experience working with children who have various presentations of autism, ADHD, and emotional struggles/acting out. I take serious things seriously and not-so-serious things not-so-seriously. I employ love and logic, hugs, and gentle redirection.
