About Katherine
I am friendly, silly, and outgoing. I like working with kids because they make me laugh! I've taught all various grade levels 5-11 over the last 10 years, so I'm great with a bunch of kids at once, and I know how to connect with different age groups. If they're old enough, I hold the same expectations of all kids that I do of my own regarding helping to clean up after themselves and looking for opportunities to be kind/helpful to their family. I have quite a lot of experience working with children who have various presentations of autism, ADHD, and emotional struggles/acting out. I take serious things seriously and not-so-serious things not-so-seriously. I employ love and logic, hugs, and gentle redirection. Katherine was incredible from start to finish. Not only did she ask questions to help make our kids' experience the most comfortable and fun possible, she made my husband and I feel completely at ease being away for the evening knowing that everything at home and with the kids was taken care of. From the updates she provided, to my kids' experiences with her, she is without a doubt the best babysitter we have had, and will definitely be booking with her again!
