About Katherine

I'm an experienced teacher with a passion for helping kids learn and grow. I've spent over nine years in the classroom-seven teaching 3rd grade and two teaching 5th grade-so I know how to make learning fun and engaging while building confidence and skills. Beyond the classroom, I've worked in various roles that focus on supporting children. I was the Director of a Prevention of Child Abuse summer day camp, worked as a camp counselor, and even helped run Ferris State University's summer sports camps as the assistant director. These experiences taught me how to connect with kids, keep them motivated, and create an encouraging environment where they can thrive. I offer tutoring in math, reading, writing, and more, and I tailor my lessons to fit each child's unique learning style.
