About Katherine

I'm an energetic, nature-loving 28-year-old young professional. I currently work as a Sales and Account Manager, but I'm looking to take on a part-time teaching/nanny job in lieu of corporate work in order to pursue writing a novel and obtaining a second human rights degree online. In 2014 I earned a TEFL-YL degree and a certTESOL degree from Trinity College in London, and went on to spend 2 1/2 years teaching children in Europe. The first six months were spent working for a non-profit called the Austrian Bilingual Classroom Initiative, where I taught students aged 5-15. After that, I moved to Spain and taught private English lessons to Spanish children. While teaching, I created lesson plans and specialized in Active Learning. Above all, I believe patience and kindness are key! I would make it my utmost priority to ensure that your children stay on track with lessons while simultaneously enjoying themselves, getting creative, and developing a deeper appreciation for learning.
