I have been serving the childcare industry since 1997. I've worked in preschools, church nurseries, after school programs, as a full time nanny, and in a preschool with children who had various special needs. Some of these special needs include autism, cerebral palsy, mitochondrial disease, developmental delays, hearing impairments and visual impairments. I have almost a completed degree in psychology and have taken numerous classes in child development as well. I have many parenting books of my own and am always reading articles about parenting and childcare research so I can best meet the needs of each child in my care. In addition, I am active in the professional nanny community and have taken part in special training geared towards the nanny profession. Katherine is a lovely person. She has been working in childcare for her entire working career. She is punctual, dependable, trustworthy and hardworking. She is wonderful with children. You could not find a kinder, more loving and compassionate individual. She does regular lessons with her charges, and challenges them to be creative and willing to try new experiences. I highly recommend, Katherine, to work with both children and adults. She has experience working with severely disabled children. She would be an excellent choice to be placed through care.com.
