About Katherine

I am flexible, reliable, and curious I like tutoring because it gives students the ability to continue learning outside the classroom. By continuing to invest in their education, students are able to create their own paths to opportunities and success. I'm looking for a job that is flexible and communicates what the student wants to focus on so that I can create an individualized lesson plan or skill practice for each session. I started tutoring in 2018 for English and Math and continued to tutor throughout college. In my spare time, I like to rock climb, bowl, weight lift, cook, and read. I majored in Biochemistry with a minor in English literature for my undergraduate, majored in instructional practice (teaching) for my graduate degree, am a high school chemistry and biology teacher in Nashville, and am CPR certified. My skills include lesson planning, identifying and addressing misconceptions, and communication.
