About Katharine

I am a wife of 25 years, grandmother, mother of three adult children/former high performance athletes, pet mom, and creative, nature loving explorer. I have a wide portfolio of professional, volunteer and personal experiences that have allowed me to apply myself in a variety of roles. Due to the pandemic, and several personal changes including a cross country move to AZ in 2023, I now am pursuing opportunities to use my gifts and talents in a more intentional way. Whether to ease the burdens that come with raising kids, meal prep and nutrition, running errands/appointments and/or the loss of independence due to declining health and aging challenges, I can assist in a variety of areas. I have a strong faith and love of God that leads me in how I live my life and provide compassionate care. I have experience with dementia, mobility/strengthening, Hoyer, Downs Syndrome and more. I hired Kate after caring for my sister with Alzheimer’s dementia on my own for over three years while also working full time. My sister needed to be around people during the day while I am at work. She missed social activity with someone who could treat her like the creative, fun person she has been in spite of her declining abilities. Kate has filled the bill extremely well. She is warm, patient, great at out-of-the-box thinking, and gives herself fully to the job. My sister has benefited greatly from time spent with Kate. We will continue to have her working with my sister for as long as possible.
