About Katharine

Hi! My name is Katie and I am excited about the opportunity to work with your family. A little about me, I have been working in childcare for over 7 years and have many different types of experience. I have nannied for families with children ranging from 6 weeks- 14 years, last year I student taught in a Second Grade classroom with the School District of Philadephia, and I have worked in a daycare/PreSchool as both a floater teacher, and a lead Pre-k counts teacher. I graduated in May of 2024 from Penn State University with a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I believe that the best way for children to learn is through hands-on activities, getting outside and utilizing our environment as a tool for learning, and exploration/learning independence. I love using lessons and activities that I have gained from my experience in the classroom, with the children that I nanny.
