About Katharine

Hi there! I go by Kat, and I love my dog, being outside on a sunny day and ceramics. I have my BA in communication studies and have been working in the advertising/digital marketing world as a media planner and strategist for the last 10 years. I've been looking for a way out of corporate America and have always loved caring for children. While I don't have much experience in the recent past, I have a history of baby sitting, nannying in summers during college and worked as an au pair in a foreign country. I'm dedicated to ensuring children are safe, constantly learning and engaging with the world around them. I love planning activities and catering to each individual child's interests. I have experience watching infants, preschool, elementary and middle/high school children. I have nannied for an autistic child for multiple years and still have a relationship with her now that she's graduated from high school.
