About Katharina

I am a performer (violin and voice) and teacher. I have been playing, singing, and teaching professionally for the last 10+ years, primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. As a teacher, my goal is to help students of all ages progress musically in a way that is fun, engaging, and rewarding. I teach music (violin and voice) primarily over zoom, but am happy to come to your home for tutoring/ coaching/ a formal lesson if we are in the same area. I come from a classical background with a Bachelor of Music from Lawrence Conservatory of Music, and have been focused on Irish and Celtic music primarily the last 10 years. My focus is on creating a strong technical basis allowing for fun and joy! I also teach basic piano and general music (western music theory and history).
