I'm a 44-year-old mom, looking for a part-time position. I have 2 kids of my own (9 and 22), plus former long term foster kids (21 and 25), and others I have parented. The three older ones are grown and flown. The 9-year-old was born with a major birth defect, now mostly resolved. After 6 years of "medical parenting" and 22 years of special needs parenting, I'm an old hand at doctor's appointments and various therapies. I have experience with a variety of special needs, including autism, ADHD, and mental health challenges in older kids and teens. I also have a fair amount of experience and knowledge around medically needy kids, specifically around wound care, feeding tubes, and medication management. I look forward to hearing from you!

Kate is so friendly and very competent with my medically needy baby. She's able to give meds, manage the feeding tube, and put the baby to sleep. That's actually quite a feat with this little one. We are glad to have found Kate. The other thing I really appreciate about Kate is she is very careful about germs. She cleans her hands often, let's us know if she's been around anyone that was ill, etc. I don't have to worry about her spreading any illnesses to my children.
