About Kate

I began as FT summer nanny when I was 16 for a family with kids age 1, 3, 6, 12 for several years. I've always loved kids and took early childhood classes in hs and began college studying early childhood education. Ended up earning BS Psych, UCF 2012. Since then I have had 3 children of my own and have moved out of state for my husband's job. Through employment as a program counselor providing direct care in a home to 4 teenage boys with autism I have received extensive training and certifications compliant with MN 245D on the vulnerable adult act, maltreatment of minors, behavior intervention, professional boundaries, positive support training, person centered thinking, medication administration, first aid/CPR all through Meridian Services and Orion Associates-all of which is invaluable education transferable to caring for ANY young person. Additionally, I have work experience in the role of paraprofessional for a self-contained special education classroom at the elementary level.
